Copyright and Public Domain Notice

This website includes devotional material and Scripture texts from multiple sources. Their copyright status is explained below for clarity and transparency.

The Believer’s Daily Treasure

The Believer’s Daily Treasure was first published in the mid-19th century by the Presbyterian Board of Publication, with editions appearing in the 1840s and 1850s. All known editions were published well before 1929, and the original authors and editors have been deceased for well over a century.

As a result, the text is in the public domain under United States copyright law. No copyright restrictions apply to the original devotional content, poems, or Scripture references as they appeared in those historical editions.

This website presents a carefully digitized edition of that public-domain work.

1769 Oxford King James Bible (KJV)

The King James Version of the Bible was first published in 1611, with the standardized Oxford edition appearing in 1769. The KJV was produced under royal authority and predates modern copyright law by centuries.

The 1769 Oxford King James Bible text is firmly in the public domain worldwide. It may be freely copied, reproduced, and distributed without restriction.

Where Scripture text on this site is unmarked or marked KJV, it is taken from the 1769 Oxford King James Version.

Scripture quotations marked “ESV” are from the ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. Used by permission. All rights reserved. The ESV text may not be quoted in any publication made available to the public by a Creative Commons license. The ESV may not be translated into any other language.

Users may not copy or download more than 500 verses of the ESV Bible or more than one half of any book of the ESV Bible.
